at age 6, tay was living in canada when she started singing & recording covers of songs on her dad's laptop. following up this, she started to sing seriously through church events where her favourite song to sing was 'members of the church of christ'. Tay had also taken piano lessons for 4 years & uses piano as her main accompniament for her original songs & covers

performing internationally
tay gained her inspiration and passion for singing and music through the childrens church choir in the iglesia ni cristo (church of christ) which she joined at age 7. growing up, tay still continued and continues to sing in her church & bases her inspiration and faith in her church.
tay had also performed internationally for a church event (centennial closing ceremony) in 2015 at washington, usa in the verizon centre. although it was with a group, it had expanded not just tay's love for singing, but singing in church.
in 2014, tay had the privilege to represent australia & perform in the international solo singing competition (songs of faith, love & hope) which was held in the worlds largest indoor arena (the philippine arena) with a seating capacity of 55k people. artists including katy perry have performed in this arena.
the competition was live streamed worldwide on tv ( as seen)
